PGR Sonar uses a Microsoft Entra ID service principal against the official Power BI REST, metadata-scanning, and Fabric admin APIs — strictly read-only, and no workspace-by-workspace access work is needed for the catalog. During setup Sonar probes every permission it uses live against your tenant and names exactly what is missing (the tenant setting or consent link to fix it), so you always know precisely what access it has.
We never store your report contents, models, or raw business data. PGR Sonar syncs tenant metadata only — workspace structures, asset names, usage statistics, and capacity metrics — and stores it in a private, encrypted PostgreSQL database inside our Azure environment. Service principal secrets you provide are encrypted at rest, and you can request full deletion of your data at any time.
